I created this image on the first day of lockdown
and the following images over the few weeks after
I was interested when I saw other artists’ responses to the lockdown and how they were different and similar to mine. For example Ruth Stoltenberg’s Isolation series.
I also realised that a long time ago – when I was about 11/12 years old, I created quite a similar image in a drawing. I don’t have a photo of the piece unfortunately (it was quite good – I was much better at drawing at that age than I am now), but I do have an image (very small and low quality – sorry) of a print I made from it…
