My mom told me that when I grew up and was a men everyone would know everything about everyone else. She told me that I would know when Jesus would return soon because of the mark of the beast.

She said that this was a number and that everyone that didn’t believe in Jesus would need this number to buy food. She said this number would identify me and where I lived. No one would be able to buy food unless they identified themselves and said where they lived.

She said god put good on the Earth for me because he loved me. I didn’t need to tell someone who I am just to eat. God doesn’t need to know my name, but Satan does.

She told me this on a dirt road. It was summer. I was 7, maybe 8. She was 29, maybe 30. It was 1962. Maybe 1963.

She was beautiful. She looked like Audrey Hepburn and Jackie Kennedy dressed in homemade clothes; Simplicity® sewn on a Singer® and she knew everything.

She knew the future.
